Participation in the International Certificate Sessions is highly competitive.
A limited number of students from around the world are chosen for the program each year.
These students are admitted to a special nine month course during which they are coached by a team of distinguished artists/teachers.
In addition to the program’s artist faculty, select world-renowned artists
will be invited as special guest professors.
Pianists eligible to apply include those who are working on or who have
received an MM in Piano Performance; are currently studying or who have
completed a DMA in Piano Performance; are working on or who have received a
Diplôme d’Exécution; are working on or who have received a Diplôme Supérieur
from a Belgian Conservatory; and graduates from Musik Hochschule, or students who have an equivalent diploma.
Consideration may also be given to the finalist of an international
competition and any pianist of a high technical and artistic level interested
in performing professionally or in a professional teaching career.
In the latter case, a live audition will be requested.
There is no age limit for the International Certificate for Piano Artists.
At the end of the year, an evaluation jury will be organized to
determine the progress of the student during the year of study. The participation to this final audition isn't automatic. The young pianist is expected to
have reached a certain artistic level.
He also must have attended a minimum of 80 % of the sessions during the academic year, in order to present his/her works at the evaluation jury.
During the jury, the student will present works he/she prepared during the sessions.
The final jury will be at the end of June or beginning of July.
The compulsory work will be known at least 5 weeks before the final jury.

At the end of the year, an evaluation audition with an international jury, under the supervision of
Philippe Entremont and Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, will be held. (cfr Description of the Course)
Only those students who reach, in the opinion of the jury, the artistic level
expected of International Certificate participants will be
awarded the “Certificate for Piano Artists”, which is signed by the faculty, jury,
and the delegation of the institutions granting the diplomas:
the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris “Alfred Cortot,” the University of Ottawa, the Palm Beach Atlantic University and the Fondation Bell’Arte.
